After spending years in the commercial art field working at St. Louis-based Hinkle & Company and, earlier, St. Louis Ship, and intermittingly freelancing for over twenty years, Don now freelances for such clients as Arnold Worldwide, Busch-Creative, Checkmark, and the Hughes Group illustrating storyboards, comps and finished art, including personalized caricatures. He's adept at giving the client the style they desire and can assist them in preliminary stages. As a cartoonist, Don was instrumental in bringing "The Family Funnies" to the St. Louis Suburban Journal. Currently his comic strip, Sons of the Saddle, appears in the SASS newspaper The Cowboy Chronicles, and online, at ModernTales.com, he and co-creator, Paul daly, serve up the science-fiction comic strip, The Terranauts.
