About Jeff Weigel

My work combines traditional media such as pen, brush and ink, with digital tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and InDesign. I have extensive experience writing and illustrating children’s books and graphic novels. This familiarity with visual storytelling applies well to storyboards. Also, my long background in graphic design makes me cognizant of an art director’s needs and a familiarity with their digital workflow.

I’ve written, illustrated and designed children’s books for G.P. Putnam’s Sons, HarperCollins, Albert Whitman and Company and others. I was the illustrator of the New York Times 2009 bestseller “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Zombies: a Book of Zombie Christmas Carols” and its two sequels. I’ve also worked as a writer and illustrator for Image Comics. Along with my graphic storytelling assignments, I’ve done commercial work for many corporate clients and Fortune 500 companies such as Energizer, Peabody Energy, Elsevier and MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc.
