About Jo Ann Kargus
I have been an illustrator in St. Louis for over 30 years. My company is called Whitesitt Kargus Studio. My work has been primarily architectural renderings, marker comps and murals. Depending on what you need, I can create marker comps to full color illustrations.
I have ventured into the fine art world by painting portraits ---motorcycles, vintage tractors, hot rods, pets, etc.
I also have a huge roll of canvas, so anything can be painted as a mural.....and I LOVE to paint big!!!!!
**The commercial illustrations I have shown are described in their order:
-The Bogen Building and the Anheuser Busch brewery/peregrine falcon are tempera/gouache.
-The Alter Trading Corp. is a tempera/acrylic/mixed media collage.
-The Capri Pool aerial, The Crescent street signage, and the Lindenwood School condo interior are line art with acrylic/watercolor.
**The mural projects shown are:
-The Mile277 Tap & Grill interior mural is acrylic painted on canvas---then installed.
-The Women's Closet Exchange exterior mural is latex paint applied to the store's brick wall.
**The fine art commissioned projects are the last 4 samples of art:
-The portrait of the '57 Harley Davidson panhead motorcycle is pencil.
-The portrait of the Excelsior motorcycle with 2 boys is pencil.
-The portrait of the purple Harley Davidson motorcycle is acrylic washes on watercolor paper.
-The portrait of the yellow Indian motorcycle is acrylic airbrush on illustration board.
